Sophia Ben Yousef, 15, talkin’ about a revolution

Singer/songwriter Sophia Ben Yousef, 15, wrote ‘Carry On’ during the Libyan revolution last year. She lives in England, but like many her wider family lives in Libya.

Sophia sings about the affect of the revolution on her loved ones, and the positives to emerge at the end of the uprising through her emotive lyrics and flawless piano melody.

The song was performed at the View Two Gallery, Liverpool on 28 September 2012.

I’ve been fortunate to work with Sophia on a number of occasions. Thank you so much for giving her the exposure she so richly deserves. She has a truly natural and unique talent. I’ve worked with many artists older than her with far less maturity. I’m told there will be some studio sessions shortly. Should you require any more information please feel free to contact me and I’ll happily pass on any messages.
